Is it just me, or does it seem like the entire world (including myself) is in the Holiday spirit early this year? I must say…I am here for it all. The pure happiness and excitement the holiday season brings are unmatched. From family gatherings to festive holiday decor, it is all so joyful why wouldn’t we want to get started early?
I’ve had so much fun creating holiday-themed boards on Pinterest! I love that there is so much versatility in holiday decor and hosting ideas. You can create the most beautiful environment with the right inspiration. I want to share some ideas and themes I plan on implementing this holiday season.
Home decor: A Whimsical Vibrant Christmas
I love changing up my Christmas theme each year. Last year, I did a neutral, organic, velvety brown decor theme. A few years prior, I went traditional with various shades of red and green tones. All it took this year was one picture to inspire my holiday vision. The photo of the mixed patterned stockings with the satin tassels on the top left ignited a slew of ideas when I saw it on my Pinterest feed. I pinned it, started a holiday board, and went from there. The vision I’ve embodied from my holiday board is a mix of muted jewel tones + pops of vibrant colors. This year, the ribbon is the star of the show! It can be added to anything, creating a vintage, elegant touch.
Holiday Hosting: Vibrant + Organic
If you asked me what my favorite topic to search on Pinterest was, it would, without a doubt, be anything to do with food and hosting ideas. I’ve imagined myself hosting small groups of friends and family for years. I picture in my mind when they arrive, it is as if they’ve entered a quaint, intimate little restaurant off the coast of somewhere beautiful, lol. I just love the idea of creating a themed space for guests with meals that look and taste incredible. When I am inspired by a theme, I immediately try to imagine how my guests would feel as they enter into my space. I want there to be color and small details that make a big impact. My holiday hosting board embodies all of that and so much more. The vibrancy of the colors, the simplicity of the greenery, and the warmth felt through the photos are exactly what I hope to implement when hosting this holiday season.
